Re: i left my job.

This is a reply post to one of my older posts. Read it here.

I left my job last week. I was afraid to go back to my workplace to get my stuff back because I would be seeing my coworkers again. I fear what they would think of me.

They didn't really think much about me. In fact, all the six messages I got from my work messaging app were system notifications. And I was terrified to open it for the past few days. Turns out people focus on their own lives way more than I think.

People were nice too. They were very understanding of why I don't want to work there anymore. They asked me if there is anything they can do to help with my future career planning. We talked briefly but it was humanizing. There was nothing to be afraid of. I showed vulnerability. They caught it and held it dearly in their hands.

We are humans. Sometimes, we have to make a living. Sometimes we have to take care of ourselves. We have preferences. All these are normal. Are these hard to remember? Kind of. I felt cared for today. That was nice.
