Let whatever happens happen.

If I forget about everything, and let nature write itself, what would it have written?

Maybe it would write out what I am writing down now, through my body, through my thoughts, through these fingers typing on a keyboard, these words on a screen, these minds reading and decoding them. If one truly forgets, then writing will naturally come about. It flows out like water onto the ground with gravity’s pull. Nature takes its course. All I have to do is to let whatever happens happen.

I wrote something down on my notebook just now about forgetting, and now I have already forgotten what I wrote down on my notebook. But I promised myself to not flip open the notebook to check. I still wrote something out anyways. Guess I did not need the notebook.

My surroundings become disgusting. Absurd even. Yet I am just looking at this phenomenon, whatever name you want to give it.

I don’t have to write this down. I don’t have to be sitting here writing this out. I don’t have to. You don’t have to read it either. If I tell you to stop now, will you have stopped? Will your eyes actually pause and stop glancing at the next line? Will you naturally drop the urge to keep reading as if you are dropping a ball onto the ground? The ball falls and it is as simple as releasing your fingers. You are still reading this, aren’t you? Just as I am still writing this. It doesn’t happen quite naturally, does it? When you watch a YouTube video, you scroll down to read comments. Is that habitual? When you buy a bottled water, you screw the bottle cap counter-clockwise to open the bottle. When did you learn how to unscrew it? Is that as natural as dropping the urge to keep reading? You are still reading this aren’t you? What about thoughts? Can you drop that? Is it as simple as dropping a ball on the ground?

Can you read this as if you wrote this? Forget about who you are. Can you experience this forgetfulness as I did? Is it easy? Do you want to?
