I am playing Celeste for the first time!

"This game is hard. Ugh." I do have a tendency to give up on things that were hard for me in the past. So I was not surprised to stop playing it after the first hour.

But I do want to remind myself that maybe it is worth the effort to push through and see what I will get on the other side. I want this game to be a safe experiment of trial and error. If I die, then I'll try again. If I feel too much frustration, I'll just pause and appreciate the work I put in so far.

Hence the post. If I have to give up, I want to give up mindfully.

This seems like a fun game from the overwhelming positive reviews I am seeing on Steam. The fact that it received overwhelming positive reviews makes me even more curious. How can players like a hard game this much? I hope that my curiosity will keep me going, and that the answer is worth my effort.

Wish me luck.
